                      INNOVATIVE WORK

Innovative refers to the development of new ideas for the improvement of existing ideas. Being innovative at work means that you contribute ideas and solutions to the workplace challenges or problems. Innovators recognise when there is a need for improvement and they use logic reason and creativity to come up with ways to meet those needs. As part of the 4th semester b.Ed curriculum and innovative work was to be imparted in the classrooms during our internship based on the topics assigned during the practice.

For innovative work I took the topic states of matter. Three states of matter and their properties are explained in my work. I made Scrapbook including the different states of matter along with their properties and pictures. To make to make this work I bought Scrapbook with colourful pages and decorated each page with colour paper glitter foam sheet and glitter pen.

In order to make the concept more clear and attractive and easy to recall, this innovative work played a grade place. Students where very curious to know what is in each page.

Importing and implementing these works in classrooms help the students to know and understand the concept in a memorable manner. As the process is far different from the traditional classroom teaching, it may last long in the young minds. For teachers, it is a challenge as well as a new strategy to teach the unit. To improve the creativity and innovative ideas this may help. Innovative work simplifies the complexities in learning mathematics and does it builds up confidence for both teachers and students.
